Training Style

            We offer extensive training to all abilities of horses.  Melissa uses natural horseman techniques taught to her by George Smock and based off of Ray Hunt and Clinton Anderson.  She will instill ground manners and respectful behaviors as well as physical conditioning with the goal of an enjoyable horse to own.  All breeds are welcome regardless of age or training levels.  All horses will begin with the basics and progress to the desired level of training to make a safer horse for the rider.  The length of training is dependent on the individual horse's ability and the level of training desired by its owner.

      Melissa's main goal with training is to make the horse as trusting and safe for the rider as possible.  Included with the training fee is one rider lesson to experience the level attained and steps needed for continued advances in training. 

            Cost: $600 a month including board

Private Riding Lesson Information

            We offer private riding lessons for both the English and Western riders.  Melissa has a number of years experience assisting riders reach "that next level of confidence".  She provides instruction for anyone 7 years of age and up.  She has taught children as young as 5 as well as many adults.  She works with mostly beginners but can assist the more seasoned riders as well.  Through Melissa's network of riding instructors she can even assist the rider needing a little tuning up before an event.
